چکیده
We report on the low-energy dynamics in kagome antiferromagnet CaCu3(OD)6Cl2∙0.6D2O (Ca-kapellasite) as studied by use of 2D-NMR measurements. Previous 35Cl-NMR measurements revealed that nuclear spin–lattice relaxation rate (1/T1) shows two peaks at temperatures, T* = 7.2 K and Ts \( \simeq \) 25 K. While low-temperature peak is ascribed to critical fluctuations near long-range magnetic ordering, origin high-temperature has not been fully understood. From 1/T1 D sites OD groups (DOD), we find no Ts, evidencing related molecular groups. discuss possibility a frustration-induced short-range ordered state below before order stabilized Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction. also observed static internal fields DOD site T*, confirm previously proposed negative-chirality q 0 structure.

Emergence of long-range order in sheets of magnetic dimers.
Quantum spins placed on the corners of a square lattice can dimerize and form singlets, which then can be transformed into a magnetic state as the interactions between dimers increase beyond threshold. This is a strictly 2D transition in theory, but real-world materials often need the third dimension to stabilize long-range order. We use high pressures to convert sheets of Cu(2+) spin 1/2 dimer...
متن کاملShort range smectic order driving long range nematic order: example of cuprates.
We present a model for describing the combined presence of nematic and 'smectic' or stripe-like orders seen in recent scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) experiments on cuprates. The smectic order is treated as an electronic charge density wave with an associated Peierls distortion or a 'Pomeranchuk wave'. This primary order is restricted to nanoscale domains by disorder effects, while the seco...
متن کاملQuantum Monte Carlo calculation of the long-range order in the Heisenberg antiferromagnet.
The forward-walking Green's function Monte Carlo (GFMC) method is used to compute the staggered magnetization m y in the two-dimensional, spin-1=2 Heisenberg Antifer-romagnet on L L square lattices, up to L = 12. Unlike previous GFMC calculations, the method is unbiased and projects out the exact, rotationally invariant groundstate. These calculations provide connrmation of the existence of lon...
متن کاملLong-Range Order in the Hubbard Model
This paper begins by analyzing the Fermi-Hubbard Hamiltonian, a hopping model for Fermions on a lattice, and the pathology of the model’s extreme cases is discussed. Finally, the usefulness of experiments with ultracold atoms for studying order in these systems is presented. William R. McGehee Long-Range Order in the Hubbard Model 2
متن کاملPhotoemission signatures of valence-bond stripes in cuprates: Long-range vs. short-range order
Recent experiments indicate that the tendency toward the formation of unidirectional charge density waves (“stripes”) is common to various underdoped cuprates. We discuss momentum-resolved spectral properties of valence-bond stripes, comparing the situations of ideal and short-range stripe order, the latter being relevant for weak and/or disorder-pinned stripes. We find clear signatures of orde...
